The Search of God
This constructed piece embodies the idea that God is not distant, but always within us. To find God is to know oneself—beyond the dogmas and teachings of the earth, it is a personal and intimate connection.
The Mirror: At the center lies a mirror, acting as a portal of reflection. It is framed with jewel-like adornments symbolizing the pathway to heaven or the ancestral realm, inviting the viewer to look inward to discover who they are and, ultimately, who God is.
The Rainbow Ribbons: Flowing ribbons in disorganized patterns represent the diverse spirits and ancestors carried in our DNA. Each color and variation embodies the multiplicity of lives, histories, and energies that converge in us. Their descent signifies connection to both heaven and earth.
The Red Writing: The words “CONGATS YOU FOUND GOD” appear written in red, a deliberate imperfection. The missing “R” forces attention, reminding us of the flawed yet beautiful nature of human expression and understanding. The red itself symbolizes blood and passion, essential for life and prayer. Layered with a subtle glitter, it reflects the sparkle of existence within our lifeblood.
The Portal of Ancestors: The circular form and surrounding jewels evoke the realm of ancestors, known in some traditions as Orun or heaven. It is both a sacred space and a mirror of consciousness, affirming that God is present wherever we perceive divinity.
This work proclaims that the search for God is not external—it is a return to self, ancestry, and the bloodline that makes us whole. Through imperfection, reflection, and connection, it invites us to inner-stand the divine within.
